Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib has strongly condemned the Israeli regime’s recent airstrike on the Iranian consulate in Syria, saying that the military act of aggression was against all international conventions.
The top Lebanese diplomat made the comment in a phone talk with his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amirabdollahian on Wednesday.
Bou Habib also extended his condolences and expressed the sympathy of the Lebanese people and government over the Monday attack that martyred seven Iranian military advisors.
Amirabdollahian thanked Lebanon for its stance over the Israeli regime’s attack, saying that the crime will not go unanswered. He also said that the US should be held accountable over “this aggressive and terrorist act” by the Israeli regime due to its all-out support of the regime’s crimes.
