IRANIAN AMBASSADOR TO LEBANON WARNS ISRAEL OF CONSEQUENCES FOLLOWING ASSASSINATION OF HAMAS LEADER IN TEHRAN
Mojtaba Amani held a press conference at the Iranian embassy and answered a reporter's question about the impact of the assassination of Haniyeh on Iran-US negotiations during a press conference.
Amani said in a press conference: "There is no such thing as Iranian-American talks, there are messages exchanges that the Americans send us from time to time, and they also receive their answers directly."
The ambassador clarified: "Most of the messages in the last 10 months were related to not allowing the war to escalate." These statements come as the assassination of Haniyeh, one of the prominent leaders of the Palestinian resistance, has sparked a wave of reactions globally. Analysts believe this incident could have a profound impact on the relations between Iran and the United States, as well as the security situation in the region.
Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon and announced that Iran will not let the United States and the Zionist regime take control of the region. Iran’s envoy emphasized that while Iran does not seek to expand the war, it will not allow the region to become prey to the U.S. and Israel. Amani stated, “The attack on a Resistance figure in Tehran, and all the political developments, including the aggression in Beirut's southern suburbs, were under scrutiny.” The Iranian ambassador warned that Israel will face repercussions for assassinating Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh, drawing parallels to past assassinations of Palestinian leaders. Haniyeh who had participated in the swearing-in ceremony of the new Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in Tehran on Tuesday was assassinated in his residence in Tehran early on Wednesday.
